In an effort to keep up with the fashion trends and to get noticed in the fashion world, one guy has been doing just that.
On Tuesday, 20-year-old Kyle “K” Jones posted a picture of himself on the cover of the latest issue of Men’s Journal, in a piece titled “I Am Not Just a Football Player, I Am a Football Fan.”
The piece, which was originally published in January, features a picture Jones holding a football as he explains how his football skin helps him feel confident in the game.
“I play for my team and I want to be recognized for that,” Jones said in the article.
“It’s a little bit of an experiment.
If you watch the game on TV, it’s just a game of football.”
K said he decided to try out his football-skin idea after he had been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism about his skin.
He said he has had people ask him to be more like a “lady” because he wears a football.
“Some of my fans have really negative things to say about me, but they really haven’t talked to me about it,” he said.
“So I decided to do something that they would actually listen to.”
He said his skin, which he calls “The Best Football Skin,” is a product of research he has been conducting on men with football-specific skin problems.
“My skin is definitely not a normal human skin,” he explained.
“And it’s a skin that I think a lot people would be embarrassed about having a real-life human skin on.”
“I’m not trying to be a caricature of a person,” he added.
“But I am trying to figure out how to do a more socially acceptable, non-creepy, normal football skin that people would want to wear.”
The article, which is titled “The Next Step for Men With Football Skin” and has a cover price of $9.99, has been viewed nearly 50,000 times on Vice News.
In addition to K, the cover features other sports personalities including the rapper Drake, rapper Snoop Dogg, basketball player LaMarcus Aldridge and NFL quarterback Drew Brees.
The article also features pictures of other football players and sports icons such as NBA star LeBron James, NBA star Kobe Bryant, NBA legend Kobe Abdul-Jabbar and former NFL player Deion Sanders.
K said that he hopes his skin will help men and women “understand the importance of sport” and the importance “of not taking ourselves too seriously or not understanding that you can play football for the rest of your life.”
“It’s the best football skin you could possibly imagine,” he told Vice News in a video interview.
“You get the benefits of that in a way that people think you don’t get.”
